Your generosity EXCEEDED
the Tevya Chai Match goal!

What a way to kick off our 75th Season!

selected Camp Tevya and challenged us to secure two gifts of $9,000 apiece last year. JCamp180 pledged to match those gifts in order to create a total pool of $36,000 to be used in a Phase 2 matching challenge.
Thank you to Tevya alumni Michael London and Ric and Caren Bobroff, who met this challenge.
|
To unlock those challenge funds, Tevya alumni and friends had to contribute or pledge $108,000 this spring. By EXCEEDING that goal, these donors have secured the full $36,000 Tevya Chai Match!
We gratefully honor the Tevya alumni, parents and friends from many generations for their contributions:

Thank you, thank you, thank you!
You have exceeded our Tevya Chai Match goal, contributing over $118,000 in generous gifts of $1,800 or more, unlocking $36,000 in matching funds, and thus raising over $154,000 for Camp Tevya's mission and projects.
In February, we came to you with the Tevya Chai Match Challenge, an opportunity to work together to enhance the long-term effectiveness of Camp Tevya. JCamp180, a program of the Harold Grinspoon Foundation, selected Tevya as one of just 18 camps nationwide to push ourselves to new heights. If Tevya alumni and friends could raise at least $108,000 this spring, all in gifts of $1,800+, Camp Tevya could gain an additional $36,000 in matching funds.
I am so pleased, humbled, honored and grateful to share with you that, as of today, this community has not only succeeded, but exceeded, contributing over $118,000.
Add in the matching funds, and the Tevya Chai Match has put together over $154,000 to further Camp Tevya' s mission and grow even stronger for campers today and in the future.
Thank you. Mindee, Jonathan and I are deeply grateful for your participation and energy and for the positive, lasting effect your gifts will have on our campers and staff.
60% of these funds are allocated towards capital projects, including these ongoing or upcoming ones:
- The Seth Feldman Fitness Center: opening this summer! This complete fitness center in the Girl's Rec Hall will include a fitness studio and weight training area. Chai Match funds will join the proceeds of last year's Tevya Trot 5K race and walk to complete the Center. Alumni, please join in the dedication at the 75th Reunion in June.
- Bobroff Beit Shira: also opening this summer! This new pavilion will give a permanent home for shira classes; we've long needed additional space for indoor classes and programming. It is a fully screened building to be erected in the dell behind the Girls' Head Counselor cabin. Alumni, we'll also dedicate this at the 75th Reunion in June.
- Preliminary design work on a Senior Staff/Alumni Visitor House. To bring even more specialists to camp -- for example: non-cabin specialty staff, guest rabbis, artists, and coaches -- we need to house them. A facility with adequate rooms and a conference room will lead to great programming for our campers... plus provide hospitality for our alumni and families! The Chai Match will help us cover the initial design costs for a new building, to be built along the road leading into camp next to the House of Friendship.
- A shaded 'Welcome Area' in front of the offices where families can gather before tours and where staff can meet and plan. This inviting new spot will strengthen community from the moment new families arrive.
Additionally, the Tevya Chai Match funds will help with future renovations and improvements to other buildings, such as the Health Center, plus benefit our families through scholarships and support the new Dor L'Dor: College Style Israel internship program for which Tevya counselors are eligible.
It is my privilege and a honor to serve our Tevya community, and it has been such a delight to connect with so many of you about the Tevya Chai Match. Thank you again for your support of Tevya's mission and the love you have for this camp.
With Tevya Spirit,
