PRESTIGIOUS DEPARTMENT OF THE ARMY AWARD PRESENTED TO USO FORT LEONARD WOOD CENTER DIRECTOR
On Tuesday, November 24th, Major General Ken Savre, Maneuver Support Center of Excellence and Fort Leonard Wood Commanding General, presented our Fort Leonard Wood USO Center Director, Kelly Gist, with the Secretary of the Army Public Service Award during the Community Forum. The award was presented to Kelly for her and Bandit's support to the service members and families at Fort Leonard Wood.
This award is the second highest award the Department of the Army presents to private citizens. The Secretary of the Army awards this decoration to those who provide exceptional service that makes a substantial contribution to the accomplishment of the Army's missions.

NEW SECOND MOBILE UPDATE
Progress continues on the construction of our new second Mobile. We anticipate the new unit will be completed by the end of the year. This is an exciting time for us as we are anticipating the overwhelming joy and happiness that serving our men and women in the armed services brings us on a daily basis.

13TH ANNUAL SANTA'S EXPRESS---MILITARY FAMILIES ENJOY A FUN AND FESTIVE DAY AT UNION STATION
Saturday, December 5th, saw a very busy Union Station from 7:30 a.m. until Noon. With 556 military children and 476 adults participating in 2015's Santa Express!
Attendees enjoyed a continental breakfast, a visit to the Toy Shop, having their picture taken with Santa & Mrs. Claus, face painting, making a holiday craft, writing a letter to Santa, and visiting with movie characters.

VOLUNTEER RECOGNITION
Recently we recognized Tom Jeffery, who became a USO volunteer in October 2005 for his 2,000 hours of volunteer service!
