Talk to Dale Behrends, Guthrie County State Bank, about Trust Management Services.
The Benefits of Trust Management Services

Planning is essential when it comes to your financial future. And it's equally important when deciding how best to provide for the futures of your loved ones, too.

One of the most reliable financial tools available to you is a trust established by you and your legal representative with any assets of value you wish to pass on including real estate, cash, stocks, bonds, and other valuable assets. It's up to you. And that's the key.

Barry Monaghan, Guthrie County State Bank, has significant Trust Management Services experience, both domestic and internationally.

Because without planning, someday down the road the allocation of your property may not be up to you at all. Or anyone else you care about. Should your property go into probate, a court will determine how to allocate it.

Guthrie County State Bank can help you manage a trust that enables you to reduce estate tax liability, protects your property and assets, helps you avoid probate and even produces needed income for you and your beneficiaries.

For more than eight decades, Guthrie County State Bank has played a role in the growth of area businesses, the agricultural economy and our communities. We've always been committed to providing friendly, convenient and responsive service from our two locations in Guthrie Center and Panora.

Now we want to do our part to help you protect the future of those you love. Call (641) 332-2218 in Guthrie Center or (641) 755-2400 in Panora and arrange to speak to Dale Behrends or Barry Monaghan.

Please note that the bank is closed
on the following days:

October 13 - Columbus Day

November 11 - Veterans Day

November 27 - Thanksgiving Day

December 24 - Christmas Eve (close at 12:00 p.m.)

Holiday Open House Events!

We're excited to announce our holiday open house events for both locations and hope you will all join us to celebrate! Guthrie County State Bank is proud to be connected to the communities we serve. To give back, we will again be donating 10 complete sets of children's snowgear - coats, snowpants, hats, gloves, scarves and boots - five sets each to 3C's in Panora and New Horizons in Guthrie Center.

Refreshments will be served and at the Christmas Open Houses at each location, we'll again have our drawings for fun community prizes!

Thanksgiving Open House: Friday, November 21, 9:00 a.m - 3:00 p.m.

Christmas Open House: Friday, December 19, 9:00 a.m. - 3:00 p.m.

Door prize winners!

At our August social event, the lucky winners of $10 Billy Vee's Italian Restaurant gift certificates were Margie Readinger, Colleen Deardorff, Cathy Hinderaker and Oris Hoover. Our wonderful hosts at Billy Vee's made us feel welcome and we enjoyed the demonstration and especially the dessert!

The Money Bag Contains $350!

There will be $350.00 in the money bag this quarter at our GCSB Heritage Club social event on November 6th. There will be a winner! Lois Van Cleave's name was drawn at our August social event, but Lois wasn't there to claim the pot. Sorry Lois!

How does the money bag work? Each quarter at our social event, we draw names from the GCSB Heritage Club's full membership. However, you must be present at that social event to win!

If no one wins the prize, another $50 is added to the bag each quarter for the first three quarters of the year. In the fourth quarter only, we draw from the members present at our social event. The minimum guaranteed prize each quarter is $200.
