What Can You Do With Mobile Banking?

Sitting at your child's dance lesson and wondering if your account was credited for a returned purchase? Need to make a transfer for an upcoming weekend away while waiting for your next meeting? Want to make an extra loan payment while sitting in the doctor's office? With GCSB's new mobile banking, you'll be able to do all that and more! Click here and tell us how you will use the convenience of mobile banking.

We'll be launching mobile banking for iPhone, Android and cell phone platforms later this spring. Watch your e-newsletters and our website for more information!

Tax Time is Fast Approaching

We know it's coming. Spring, baseball season, green grass and, also, April 15th - tax day. As you are gathering all of your appropriate documents, finding those receipts and starting to figure out the numbers, keep in mind that you can still reduce your 2013 taxable income with a tax-deductible Individual Retirement Account. Guthrie County State Bank offers both traditional and Roth IRA accounts. Contact your personal banker for more information and consult your tax advisor for your annual maximum contribution amounts.

GO FOR THE GOLD - Debit Rewards Are Waiting!

If you use your Guthrie County State Bank SHAZAM Visa® Debit Card or ATM Card between January 1, 2014 - March 31, 2014, you might be one of eight lucky SHAZAM users to win a $50 Sports Authority® gift card each month. And at the end of the promotion period, one grand-prize winner will receive a $500 Nike® gift card! Talk to your GCSB personal banker for more information or view the official rules here.

Holiday Giving From GCSB
GCSB's Gayle Shackelford presents five sets of snowgear to Mary Kay and Don Hamilton, representing 3C's.

Winter can be a tough season to endure, especially if you don't have the right winter gear. In December, we donated 10 full sets of winter gear for kids - five each to two organizations - Children's Clothes Closet (3C's) in Panora and New Opportunities  in Guthrie Center. Each year, these two organizations assist hundreds of children in our county and the surrounding area to outfit them for daily clothing needs.

During our annual Christmas Open House events, we had lots of lucky winners of gift cards from local businesses. Winners included: Anthony Solorzano, Lydia Brown, Garrett Young, Jacqueline Trujillo-Garcia, Seth Ashby, Grant Cleveland, Nancy Simmons, Kristlyn Sweatt, Mary Ann Sheeder, Nancy Coffman, Lois Van Cleave, Sandy Rumelhart, Zach Cain, Maddox Nunn, Karleen Ploeger, Aaron Peters, Owen Hansen, Cheyenne Hester, Megan Allison, Dawn Larson, Sherrie Geopfert, Clark Millhollin, Kim Firebaugh, Rexanna Ketelsen, Vickie Klein and Jimmy Scott. Thank you to everyone who attended and congratulations to the winners!
