New travel requirements for non-Canadian citizens

It has recently come to our attention that the Canadian government has instituted new travel requirements for non-Canadian citizens.

If you are a US citizen, you may enter and leave Canada with a valid US passport
or Nexus card. Drivers licenses/birth certificates no longer serve as valid IDs.
  • US citizens can apply for expedited service in renewing passports for an additional fee of $60.
  • US Citizens should also be aware that many US airports are experiencing longer than usual TSA check lines due to TSA staffing issues. You may want to arrive earlier than usual to the airport.

If you are a non-US citizen entering Canada by air who does not have a valid visa, as of March 15, 2016, you will need an eTA (Electronic Travel Authorization).

We hope this helps in making your travel arrangements. Please click the links above to see more complete information. We are looking forward to seeing you in Montreal!
