The mission of the HEB ISD Education Foundation is to  
 raise and award private funds and community resources  
to support the HEB ISD's commitment to excellence in education.  

The Foundation, established in 1995, is a 501(c)3 nonprofit  
organization guided by a volunteer board of directors who have a  
sincere interest in the success of our students and staff.

Foundation honors 29 outstanding high school seniors

The Awards of Excellence Dinner and Ceremony honored 29 outstanding high school seniors from L.D. Bell, Trinity, and KEYS in 14 fields of study.  

Each student was recognized, alongside their selected teacher mentor, with a medal and certificates of achievement from State Senator Kelly Hancock, who was in attendance, plus a certificate from State Senator Wendy Davis and a formal proclamation from State Representative Jonathan Stickland.   One lucky student won a flag flown over the state capitol and the "page for a day" opportunity donated by State Senator Wendy Davis.  

The dinner, catered by the HEB ISD Culinary Arts students, served almost 200 people including new Superintendent of Schools, Steve Chapman, former Superintendent, Dr. Gene Buinger, the Foundation's generous Superintendent's Circle of Giving donors, and many special guests. Thank you for supporting excellence in education!

Thank you to all those that made it a great event!

Superintendent's Circle members gathered on April 24th at Texas Star to honor HEB ISD Superintendent Emeritus, Dr. Gene Buinger, and new Superintendent, Mr. Steve Chapman. 

Guests enjoyed appetizers and tempting desserts while mingling with HEB ISD administrators, School Board members, City Council members and City officials from Hurst, Euless and Bedford.  In addition, former foundation board members joined the current board to express appreciation for the strong support shown by Dr. Buinger and Mr. Chapman throughout the years.  We were pleased to present small tokens of our appreciation to both honorees.
