ADULT TENNIS

Memphis Team Crowned 40 & Over 3.0 National Champions
Congratulations to 3.0W Memphis/Haynes team on winning the 2014 USTA League Adult
40 & Over 3.0 National Championships held Oct. 24-26 at the Omni Rancho Las Palmas Resort in Rancho Mirage, Calif. The Memphis team edged the Southern California Section squad from Calabasas, Calif., 3-2, in the semifinals, and then defeated the Texas Section team from Austin, Texas, by the same count in the championship match. The team was captained by Sally Haynes and coached by Phil Chamberlain.

Captain Haynes reflected on what winning the title means to the team:

"It means seeing something through to the end. Our team's mission last January was to go to Nationals AND win it. And we did! Our coaches Phil Chamberlain and Kristin Mitchell gave us the instruction and emotional encouragement that we needed, and every one of these players had heart to get it done!"

Want Flex League??
What is Flex League? USTA Flex Leagues allow individuals to schedule matches when and where it's most convenient. This is a great program for new and returning players, players new to town, and players wanting to meet new players in match competition.  They are designed with your busy schedule in mind. You make the schedule. You set the time. You play when it's convenient for you. Flex Leagues provide all the thrills of league tennis, built around your busy lifestyle. With Flex Leagues, you can control everything-with the possible exception of your opponent's down-the-line forehand. At this time there are two areas that are having flex league in the fall, Murfreesboro and Nashville.
