Knoxville Racquet Club Hosts Top Tennessee Juniors
On Saturday, December 14, Knoxville Racquet Club hosted a Competitive Training Center for top Tennessee junior players. These half-day, intensive training sessions give young players a chance to receive coaching and feedback from tennis professionals from around the state.
The Knoxville session was coached by Scott Patrick with additional assistance coming from Ben Testerman, and Chris Woodruff, University of Tennessee assistant men's tennis coach. Players were able to hear how Chris Woodruff was able to beat 7 number one players during his time on the ATP tour. Hitting sessions helped kids work on developing points during match play and developing strategies to help increase focus and concentration.
Thank you to all of the players who participated in these centers and to all of the coaches and facilities that made them possible. Thank you to Knoxville Racquet Club and General Manager, Scott Patrick for making this one of the best sessions of the year.
