Godspell at Westchester Broadway Theatre  Godspell opens on Thurs, 7/9 and runs through 8/9 at the Westchester Broadway Theatre. This classic from Stephen Schwartz (Wicked, Pippin), is based on "The Gospel According to St. Matthew". The musical, uses "improvisation and contemporary themes to illustrate the parables, and bring their lessons to life." The Understudy - Lyndhurst Carriage House Theatre  The play opens with Franz Kafka's undiscovered masterpiece making its Broadway premiere. Roxanne, the stage manager, has the daunting task of running the understudy rehearsal. Enter Harry, a journeyman actor who just happens to be Roxanne's ex-fiancé. And then there's Jake, a Hollywood action star craving a little legitimacy. Caramoor Opera: Donizetti's La Favorite  Caramoor's Director of Opera, Will Crutchfield continues his track record of reviving the Parisian grand operas of the Italian masters with this presentation of Donizettis La Favorite. Rejuvenary River Circus at the Hammond Museum Stroll Garden  The Arm of the Sea Theater presents a theatrical puppet performance for the entire family.
