Fireworks Sail on The Schooner Soundwaters 
Watch the fireworks over the Long Island Sound on Thursday with this special Independence Day weekend sail of the Schooner Soundwaters. The Soundwaters' fireworks sail departs Stamford's Harbor Park Marina at 7pm. Pack a picnic dinner. Through Sunday, August 2, the Schooner offers 2-hour afternoon family-sails with a hands-on educational experience for kids ages 5 and older. Or pack a dinner and a chilled summer quaff and watch the sun set on the horizon on one of their sunset-sails. Sheffield Island Cruise  Board the 45-foot C.J. Toth catamaran this weekend for a cruise to Sheffield Island on the Long Island Sound for a lighthouse tour, a hike on the nature trail through Stewart B. Rejuvenary River Circus at the Hammond Museum Stroll Garden  The Arm of the Sea Theater presents a theatrical puppet performance for the entire family. This allegorical tale follows Malakai, the River messenger and water carrier who encounters a host of creatures, including a lyrical sea turtle, a fast-talking crow, a pair of industrious beavers, schools of migrating fish and more who offer insights into their role in a watershed's ecosystem.
