Leon Russell, Femi Kuti, Michael McDonald, Westchester Phil  Leon Russell, ("Tight Rope", "Delta Lady" "Youngblood", "Beware of Darkness") does a star turn at the Ridgefield Playhouse on Wednesday night. Former Doobie Brother, Michael McDonald plays The Tarrytown Music Hall on Thursday. Femi Kuti, son of Nigerian Afro-beat pioneer Fela Kuti, is at the Ridgefield Playhouse on Friday. Music At Copland House ends their 2014-15 season at Merestead with a program of world premieres on Sunday. Coming up, guest conductor Danail Rachev and cellist Joshua Roman join the Westhchester Philharmonic for a program of Brahms, Elgar and Arvo Part in their season finale on Sun, 6/14 at PAC. The Armonk Players present: Time Stands Still  The Armonk Players final 2014-15 production opens this week at Whippoorwill Hall. Pia Hass directs this Broadway-hit from Pulitzer Prize-winning playwright Donald Margulies. Time Stands Still is a witty look at the lives of James and Sarah (wartime journalist and photographer) who return to an ordinary life refracted through the lens of war. With Tom Coppola, P.J. Chappaqua Summer Writing Program for Girls  This program is designed for young women ages 14-17 who want to explore books and strengthen their writing for college success. Modeled on Princeton University's writing seminar, the program includes literature study and workshops for building critical reading and writing skills for the SAT and interviews.
