Dr. Anthony Newman, who Wynton Marsalis called the high priest of Bach and Time called the high priest of the harpsichord, concludes BCC's season with a program that includes Bach's Brandenburg Concerto No. 5, and Mozart's Flute Concerto in D. The ensemble will be joined by guest soloist Mimi Stillman, one of the most celebrated flutists of her generation. The program concludes with the chamber version of Beethoven's Second Symphony.   Dyllan McGee KMA's annual black & white and bling benefit offers cocktails, dinner, dancing, an auction and shuttle bus service from The Harvey School parking lot. The event will honor Katonah resident Dyllan McGee, a two-time Emmy Award-winning Executive Producer of documentary films for HBO and PBS. Her films include the Emmy Award-nominated documentary, Gloria: In Her Own Words about Gloria Steinem (HBO); the Emmy and Peabody Award-winning The African Americans: Many Rivers to Cross (PBS): the Emmy Award-winning Teddy: In His Own Words (HBO); and Oprah's Roots (PBS). Mother's Day also marks the opening of the Muscoot Farmers Market. The market offers prepared foods, organic meats and produce from Madura and John Boy farms, fish from Conte's Market, baked goods from Meredith's Bread and Dutch Desserts and, of course, pickles. Bicycle Sundays on the Bronx River Parkway

Sponsored by Con Edison and the Friends of Westchester County Parks, a six and a half mile stretch of the Bronx River Parkway is closed for the exclusive use of bicyclists, joggers, scooters and strollers. The Norwalk Aquarium's  63 foot research vessel, Spirit of the Sound, is North America's first to run on hybrid-electric power. The vessel runs silently on electric power on these 2½-hour "study cruises" on the Long Island Sound. Built in Mamaroneck, the vessel doubles the aquarium's cruise capacity and cuts diesel consumption by 75%. Marine Life Study Cruises run at 1pm on Saturdays and Sundays in May and June. More.

Little Shop Of Horrors, the quirky musical from Alan Menken and Howard Ashman, based on the 1960 Roger Corman film about a florist who raises a plant that feeds on human flesh. The 1982 musical ran off Broadway for five years, was made into a motion picture in 1986 and produced on Broadway in 2003. Its early rock and doo-wop songs include "Skidrow Downtown," "Somewhere That's Green," and "Suddenly Seymour is standing beside you, You don't need no make-up, No need to pretend ...".  Dates, times and tickets.

Carnival season is upon us. Up first, the St. patrick's Carnival, one of the state's biggest, raises money for the parish's educational ministries. With full-scale carnival rides, a Ferris Wheel, bumper cars, carnival games, (we love to throw darts and pop the balloons), sausage and peppers, cotton candy and a big-prize raffle. Tee time is 1pm and cocktails and dinner start at 5:30pm when the Armonk Chamber of Commerce celebrates the good citizenship (and general bonhomie) of Sam Morell, its 2015 Citizen of the Year. The date is  Tuesday, May 12 and the place is the Whippoorwill Club in Armonk. (Nice venue.) Sam is the founder of the Small Town Theatre Company that performs at Hergenhan Hall. The company also produces a Summer Music Series at Wampus Brook Park. The event is chaired by Jason Rosenzweig of Castle Cab.
