A Taste of Westchester in Armonk  WCC's Taste of Westchester cooking classes are coming fast and furious. On Thursday, 11/6, Chris DeCicco pairs craft beers with vegetable risotto, pan seared scallops and a stuffed portobello mushroom at DeCiccos in Armonk. On Mon, 11/10 Cafe of Love Executive Chef Lesley Lampert and Chef Michael Donnelly take you step by step through seasonal soups, starters and sides for the Thanksgiving table. Jacob Burns: Global Watch Film Series  This new Jacob Burns Film Series opens on Thursday with a screening of The Daily Show host Jon Stewart's directorial debut, Rosewater. The series will show 21 documentaries through November 24. Shown here, an image from the Academy Award-nominated film The Missing Picture - Rithy Pran's recreation of his Cambodian childhood under the Khmer Rouge that runs on Friday. Other films in the series take you to rural America, the Pine Ridge Indian reservation, Afghanistan, Syria, behind the scenes of Israeli intelligence and behind bars with a notorious escape artist. Suzanne Vega at the Performing Arts Center  A leading member of the 1980's folk revival, Suzanne Vega's recent album, Tales from the Realm of the Queen of Pentacles, peaked at no. 5 on Billboard's Folk Music charts. Vega is best known for her hit songs "Luka" and "Tom's Diner" from her album Solitude Standing. Anton Chekhov's The Seagull in Pleasantville  The Axial Theatre begins a nine performance run of Anton Chekhov's classic work The Seagull on Friday, November, 7 in Pleasantville. The first production of The Seagull in 1896, was a huge failure. It was restaged in 1898 by Constantin Stanislavsky for his Moscow Art Theatre - a production that is considered one of the greatest events in world dramatic history.
