Halloween starts this week at Historic Hudson Valley and the Bronx Zoo. WTD's Where To Celebrate: Halloween lists 25 ways to make sure your October is a total boo-fest. Kiku: The Art of the Japanese Garden at NYBG  The chrysanthemum, kiku in Japanese, is the most celebrated of all Japanese fall-flowering plants, and hundreds of meticulously trained kiku will be on display in the Enid A. Comedy at the Performing Arts Center  October is Comedy month at PAC. This week NPR regular Mike Birbiglia performs stand up. His 2007 album, My Secret Public Journal Live, was named the best Comedy Album of the Decade by Onion AV. On Sun, 1012, best-selling author, NPR humorist and New Yorker contributor David Sedaris sits down for a chat about growing up in Raleigh, NC, drug use and obsessive behaviors. (His... not yours.) The 1949 production of Rodgers and Hammerstein's South Pacific, based on James Michener's Pulitzer Prize-winning book Tales of the South Pacific, won 10 Tony Awards and set the stage for the 1958 film with Mitzi Gaynor and Rossano Brazzi. The score contains many of Broadway's most recognizable songs, including "Some Enchanted Evening," "I'm In Love With a Wonderful Guy," and "There Is Nothing Like a Dame." Thurs-Sun: 9/25-11/30. Small Town Theatre Company: I Do! I Do!  This 1966 musical from Tom Jones and Harvey Schmidt (The Fantastics) follows the trials and tribulations of Mary and Michael Snow's marriage from 1895 to 1945. The original production, directed and choreographed by Gower Champion with Mary Martin and Robert Preston, ran on Broadway for 560 shows. An Evening in Good Taste  The annual An Evening in Good Taste To End Childhood Hunger benefit supports the Food Bank for Westchester. Sample gourmet delights and specialty cocktails from Westchester's finest chefs. Last year the Food Bank raised over $200,000 to help fight hunger in Westchester. This event will benefit their Kids Café and Backpack programs. Thurs, 10/16: 6-9pm. The God Game: The Hudson Stage Company's Armonk Debut  Tickets are now on sale for The God Game, The Hudson Stage Company's debut production at the North Castle Library. This new play from Suzanne Bradbeer taps into the spirit of the political season when the game of politics becomes a "God game" for a vice-presidential candidate.
