HSC Gala in Armonk: Ann Hampton Callaway & sister Liz Just announced. Jazz headliner and Tony Award nominee for her role in the Broadway musical Swing! will join her Broadway star sister Liz at the Hudson Stage Company's gala at Whippoorwill Hall in Armonk on July 13. The evening will include a cocktail reception at Restaurant North. Schooner Soundwaters sets sail The Schooner Soundwaters' public sails begin for the summer on June 26. The Tango Lesson at NCPL  Filmmaker Sally Potter, the acclaimed director of the 1993 gender-bender, Orlando, takes on one of her favorite topics - dance, in this 1997 drama. Here, she plays Sally, a semi-autobiographical character suffering from writer's block who becomes obsessed with the tango (and the tango instructor) Pablo Veron. The film features extended dance sequences from Veron and original recordings of iconic tangos written by Carlos Gardel and Astor Piazzola. Fri, 6/27: 7pm. OneRepublic, The Fab Faux and the Juilliard String Quartet
The thinking man's Beatles tribute band The Fab Faux play the Capitol Theatre on Saturday. Founded by Will Lee, bassist for The David Letterman Show, The Fab Faux often travel with a horn section to get the full studio sounds of songs like "Penny Lane" and a string section for songs like "I am the Walrus". "Goo-goo-goo-joob." OneRepublic ("Apologize") is joined by the multi-platimnum Irish rock band The Script at the Jones Beach Theater on Sunday.
