Local Basketball This Week 
With sectional playoff seedings a week away Fox Lane sits in the 2 spot behind Mt. Vernon in Class AA with a 14-1 record. They travel to Ossining this afternoon, square up with Harrison (13-1 and the current top seed in Class A) on Thursday and finish with Woodlands HS on Saturday. Byram Hills (10-5 and in the 9 spot in Class A) hosts Briarcliff on Thursday at 4:30pm and finishes at Westlake on Saturday at 1pm. John Jay Lecture Series The John Jay Lecture Series continues with Craig D. Townsend, Vicar of St. James Church in New York, who discusses Jonh Jay II's role in in helping St. Phillips Church (the first African American Episcopal Congregation in Manhattan) gain recognition from the Episcopal hierarchy in 1853. Friday Night Movies at NCPL
This 2003 drama from Chen Kaige is based on a true story of a Chinese violin prodigy coming of age in Beijing. His journey takes him from a small town to the big city where he endures fierce competition to be accepted by the right teachers, the distractions of a modern adolescent's life in a changing China and the ultimate separation  he must make from his loving father who has sacrificed so much for his future. Murder on the Orient Express Chappaqua Library's Murder and Mayhem Film Series continues with a screening of Agatha Christie's Murder on the Orient Express. Directed by Sidney Lumet and starring Albert Finney as Detective Hercule Poirot, the film features an all-star cast of murder suspects including Lauren Bacall, Sean Connery, Jacqueline Bisset, Martin Balsam, Michael York, Richard Widmark, Jean-Pierre Cassel, Vanessa Redgrave and Ingrid Bergman who won the Academy Award for Best Supporting Actress. Food Bank for Westchester An evening of food, love and wine to mark the Food Bank's 25 years of fighting hunger in Westchester. The evening, produced in collaboration with Abigail Kirsch and Pernod Ricard USA, features a five course dinner with wine pairings and will honor past board presidents Joseph Masterson, Reverend John Duffell, Joel Mounty, Patricia Murphy, William Harrington, William Bernstein, Robert Redis, Spencer Barback, and Rick Rakow. "Hometown Hero" Garrick Ohlsson at PAC
Garrick Ohlsson at PACPAC's Great Performer Series continues with a concert  from White Plains native Garrick Ohlsson. Ohlsson began his studies at the Music Conservatory of Westchester in White Plains but soon moved on to the Juilliard School at the age of 13. (Think about it.) This prize winning pianist's trophy shelf includes a Chopin, a Busoni and an Avery Fisher Prize. The program includes works from Beethoven, Schubert, Griffes and Chopin. Fri, 2/7: 8pm. Pump it up with SNL Vet Kevin Nealon at the Emelin 
Kevin Nealon Kevin Nealon was one of the longest running (1986-1995) cast members of Saturday Night Live. He starred in the Pump It Up with Hans and Franz skits with Dana Carvey, created the character The Subliminal Man, anchored SNL Weekend Update and won an Emmy Award for writing in 1988. He has had an active movie career, most recently starring along with Adam Sandler and Jennifer Aniston in Just Go For It. He brings his stand-up routine to the Emeiln Theatre in Mamaroneck for two shows on Fri, 2/7. Blue Collar Comedy star Bill Engvall will play two shows at The Paramount Hudson Valley in Peekskill on Sat, 2/8. Ars Antiqua Mark Kramer, Artistic Director of Ars Antiqua, presents the chamber music of Johan Helmich Roman, the Swedish Handel, in an evening titled Northern Lights. The Ars Antiqua ensemble who performs on Baroque period instruments will be joined by special guests Nell Snaidas, soprano, and Krista Bennion Feeney, baroque violin. Also on the program, Handel's Cantata: Gloria in excelsis Deo. Following the performance, Mark, who doubles as the chef at Susan Lawrence Gourmet Foods, will serve Swedish pancakes with lingonberries. Dr. John It's Mardi Gras time when 6 time Grammy winner Dr. John, the Night Tripper, takes the stage at PAC. Best known for his hit song "Right Place, Wrong Time," his 1968 swamp funk album Gris-gris blends New Orleans R&B with voodoo chants, and is listed #143 on Rolling Stone's Top 500 albums of all time. His 1972 album Dr. John's Gumbo, that covers New Orleans R&B standards like "Iko Iko," is #402 on the Rolling Stone Top Album list. This new exhibit at the Hudson River Museum is one of the first major exhibitions to explore the 40 year evolution of video games as an artistic medium. Organized by the Smithsonian American Art Museum presents a multi-media look at the art and artists who created over 80 games and game consoles. And you can even play 5 featured games in the gallery. Harvey Presents: Art Garfunkel 
Art Garfunkel Art Garfunkel continues his comeback to the stage with a series of performances in intimate settings with an evening of songs, storytelling and audience interaction.
