Local Basketball this week 
Skylar Sinon of Byram Hills HS Byram Hills' boys varsity basketball travels to Horace Greeley on Friday. On Saturday evening Greeley will also host Scarsdale High School. John Jay is at home on Friday against Lakeland, travels to Hendrick Hudson on Mon, 2/3 and is back home on Tues, 2/4 against Brewster. But all eyes are on Fox Lane, one of the county's top teams and a favorite to go deep into the playoffs. NCPL Friday Night Movies
In this 2002 film from Justin Lin, over achieving Asian American teens take time out from polishing their college resumes to dabble in petty crime. With a nod to Rebel Without a Cause, their lives spiral out of control when they become involved in a murder. The film was nominated for a Grand Jury Prize at the Sundance Film Festival and received an 81% rating on Rotten Tomatoes. BHHS Pink The Rink Hockey for Breast Cancer
BHHS Hockey Team for Pink Rink Game The Byram Hills HS hockey team will play their annual Pink the Rink hockey game at the Brewster Ice Arena on Fri, 1/31 at 9pm to honor those affected by breast cancer. There will be fundraising events at the game as well as a bake sale at the high school the week of the game. Sponsorship opportunities are available for anyone who would like to honor loved ones affected by breast cancer. For more information click here.

Two from The Small Town Theatre Company
Small Town Theatre Company The Small Town Theatre Company reprises its staged reading of John Harwood's Quartet about four opera stars in a retirement home for musicians at the Katonah Village Library on 1/31-2/1. On 2/7-2/8 they debut a new staged reading of John Logan's Red,  a 2009 play about artist Mark Rothko at the Hergenhahn Center in Armonk. Gurney's Love Letters in Pound Ridge

Lost Generation fans will love
Gertrude Stein: When This You See, Remember Me, a biographical look at the life and times of the American expatriate author of The Autobiography of Alice B. Toklas. Her famous Paris salon attracted the likes of Renoir, Matisse, Cezanne, Picasso, Hemingway, F. Scott Fitzgerald, Sinclair Lewis, James Joyce and Ezra Pound. It's a nostalgia fest in Stamford this weekend. On Thurs, 1/30 Peter Noone of Herman's Hermits, Mickey Dolenz of The Monkees and Mark Lindsay of Paul Revere & The Raiders are the Legends of the 60s at Stamford Center for the Arts. On Sat. (we think this is the big one) twins Gunnar and Matthew Nelson celebrate the life and legend of Ricky Nelson in this multi-media rock concert complete with video footage  ... think Ozzie and Harriet, and Ricky starring with John Wayne and Dean Martin in Howard Hawks Western classic Rio Bravo. "But if memories were all I sang, I'd rather drive a truck." More on this and 65 more music events right here.

The Harvey School Drop-In Day: Wednesday, January 29
The Harvey School will hold a Drop-In Day on Wed, 1/29 at 9am for anyone who missed their Open House in October. "Hometown Hero" Garrick Ohlsson at PAC
Garrick Ohlsson at PAC PAC's Great Performer Series continues with a performance by White Plains native Garrick Ohlsson. Ohlsson began his studies at the Music Conservatory of Westchester in White Plains but soon moved on the the Juilliard School at the age of 13. (Think about it.) This prize winning pianist's trophy shelf includes a Chopin, a Busoni and an Avery Fisher Prize. The program includes works from Beethoven, Schubert, Griffes and Chopin. Fri, 2/7: 8pm. Pump it up with SNL Vet Kevin Nealon at the Emelin 
Kevin Nealon Kevin Nealon was one of the longest running (1986-1995) cast members of Saturday Night Live. He starred in the Pump It Up with Hans and Franz skits with Dana Carvey, created the character The Subliminal Man, anchored SNL Weekend Update and won an Emmy Award for writing in 1988. He has had an active movie career, most recently starring with Adam Sandler and Jennifer Aniston in Just Go For It. He brings his stand-up routine to the Emeiln Theatre in Mamaroneck for two shows on Fri, 2/7. Blue Collar Comedy star Bill Engvall will play two shows at The Paramount Hudson Valley in Peekskill on Sat, 2/8. He has also appeared on The Jeff Foxworthy Show, Designing Women and Dancing With The Stars. More comedy, dance and theatre here. 
Dr. John at PAC 
Dr. John It's Mardi Gras time when 6 time Grammy winner Dr. John, the Night Tripper, takes the stage at PAC. Best known for his hit song "Right Place, Wrong Time," his 1968 swamp funk album Gris-gris blends New Orleans R&B with voodoo chants, and is listed #143 on Rolling Stone's Top 500 albums of all time. His 1972 album Dr. John's Gumbo, that covers New Orleans R&B standards like "Iko Iko," is #402 on the Rolling Stones Top Album list. Chef Johnson's Johnson Truck of Mamareck will be serving up Cajun Creole food before the show in honor of this Rock and Roll Hall of Famer. Sat, 2/15: 8pm. The aRt of the Video GameThe Art of Video Games
This new exhibit at the Hudson River Museum is one of the first major exhibitions to explore the 40 year evolution of video games as an artistic medium. Organized by the Smithsonian American Art Museum, the exhibit presents a multi-media look at the art and artists who created over 80 games and game consoles over the past four decades. And you can even play 5 featured games in the gallery. Opens 2/16.
