An Evening of Chamber Music The New Choral Society Orchestra (the musicians who accompany the New Choral Society) take center stage for an evening of chamber music conducted by Dr. John T. An acoustic evening with Lyle Lovett & John Hiatt
Alt-country/blues fans will know the bill of Lyle Lovett and John Hiatt makes for a special evening. Lovett is a four-time Grammy winner while guitarist and singer-songwriter Hiatt has received 11 Grammy nominations. His songs have been covered by everyone from Bob Dylan to The Searchers, B.B. Beautiful The Carol King Musical What Jersey Boys did for Doo-Wop and Mama Mia did for ABBA, Beautiful does for Carol King. Namely, bring her life and music to toe-tapping audiences on Broadway. Orpheus Chamber Orchestra with Noboyuki Tsujii The Orpheus Chamber Orchestra, aka the PAC House Band, recently celebrated their 40th anniversary by releasing their 70th album. They return this year to the Performing Arts Center stage with a special guest, pianist Noboyuki Tsujii. Blind since birth, Mr. Tsujii was the Gold Medal winner at the 2009 Van Cliburn International Competition at the age of 20. This will be the first ever all-Beethoven program performed by the orchestra and will include Beethoven's Symphony No. 2, the emotionally charged Coriolan Overture, and the the triumphant Emperor Piano Concerto.
