Hadassah Film Series at Chappqua Library 
Hadassah Film Series The Hadassah Film Series at the Chappaqua Library continues with a screening of A Bottle in the Gaza Sea. This drama explores the barriers to friendship between a young girl from Jerusalem and a boy from Gaza connected by her message in a bottle. Hart Island Project
Hart Island Project at Chappaqua Library 
The Chappaqua Library presents The Hart Island Project a mixed media exhibition by Melinda Hunt that will run from Thurs, 11/14 through Sat, 1/11/14. Hart Island, near Westchester County, has served as a Potter's Field for the anonymous, forgotten, and indigent since the Civil War. The Project's mission is to make the largest tax-funded cemetery in the US visible and accessible so that no one is omitted from history. The exhibit opens with an author's talk with Andrew Carroll whose NY Times best seller War Letters, Letters of a Nation, and Behind the Lines dedicates a chapter to the Hart Island cemetery.Thurs, 11/14: 7:30pm. Armonk Players: Something's Afoot
The Armonk Players presents the murder mystery musical Something's Afoot, a genre spoofer that takes aim at Agatha Christie's Ten Little Indians. It caught fire in London after its Broadway run in 1976 and was nominated for the Olivier Award for Best Musical. Directed by Pia Haas. Musical Direction by Assaf Gleizner. Mash at NCPL The North Castle Library presents Robert Altman's 1970 film classic M*A*S*H (Mobile Army Surgical Hospital.) Starring Donald Sutherland as "Hawkeye" Pierce, Elliot Gould as "Trapper John," Sally Kellerman as "Hot Lips" Houlihan, and Robert Duvall as Major Frank Burns. The film won the Palme d'Or at the Cannes Film Festival and was nominated for 5 Academy Awards including Best Picture, Best Director, Best Editing, Best Supporting Actress (Sally Kellerman) and won the Oscar for Best Screenplay by Ring Lardner, Jr. With discussion by LIU Professor Valerie Franco. Westchester Jazz Orchestra
WJO: Here Comes The Sun reprise
The Westchester Jazz Orchestra (a WTD Fave Rave) reprises their critically acclaimed 2012 performance Here Comes The Sun featuring original arrangements of John Coltrane, Herbie Hancock, Stevie Wonder and The Beatles. The New York Times lauded WJO for their "deeply researched, strikingly executed performances." This is WJO's sole area performance for the 2013/14 season. Sat, 11/16: 8pm. Joshua Bell at the Performing Arts Center, Purchase
Joshua Bell at PAC The Boston Herald called Joshua Bell, "the greatest American violinist active today." Joshua Bell is a rare classical music talent who can be called a household-name. This is just his second PAC performance and Westchester is lucky for his return. He will perform  a program of Tartini, Beethoven and Stravinsky with Sam Haywood, piano. Sat, 11/16: 8pm. NYBG Holiday Train Show
The New York Botanical Garden's Holiday Train Show features more than a dozen large scale model trains (some measuring over 2 feet long) zipping across nearly a quarter mile of track. The spectacular backdrop features 140 scaled replicas of iconic New York buildings made of bark, twigs, fruits, seeds and pine cones. The Table at the Emelin Theater
The Table at The Emelin Blind Summit Theatre, the theatrical innovators who worked the 2012 Olympics Opening Ceremonies, explore the existential crisis of a cardboard puppet who hates his life as a children's birthday party entertainer. Since its award-winning debut at the Edinburgh Festival, The Table has become a global phenomenon performed from Shanghai to Manhattan. Chappaqua Orchestra with Andy Stein The Chappaqua Orchestra presents Grammy winners Andy Stein (violinist and vocalist) and Conal Fowkes (pianist) in an evening of American popular music of the 20's and 30's. Conal is the voice and piano of Cole Porter in Woody Allen's film Midnight in Paris. Andy Stein has put in 22 years with Garrison Keillor on his weekly radio broadcast of A Prairie Home Companion. The Mouse That Roared at BHHS Byram Hills Stage 2014 presents The Mouse That Roared. In this Cold War satire, based on the 1955 novel by Leonard Wibberley, the tiny Duchy of Grand Fenwick goes to war against the United States (and wins) when an American winery makes a knock off version of Pinot Grand Fenwick threatening the country's entire economy. The novel was made into a theatrical film starring Peter Sellers in 1959 and was adapted for the stage in 1963. With a cast of thousands (well, 25 BHHS students.) Harvey Presents Regis The Harvey School launches its new Harvey Presents arts and arts education series with Getting to Know Regis Philbin. Regis, who holds the Guinness Book of World Records for the most time spent on broadcast television, will discuss his career in television from The Joey Bishop Show to Who Wants To Be a Millionaire with Harvey School headmaster Barry Fenstermacher and high school senior Michael Goodkind of Bedford. Register for the Bedford Turkey Trot
Registration is open for the 7th annual Bedford Turkey Trot. This event sells out so sign up early. Billed as "New York's toughest 5K", this event raises funds for the Bedford Community Table/Pantry and includes a 2 mile walk event. The race begins at the Bedford Village Elementary School, finishes at Bedford Village Memorial Park and includes a run up Indian Hill Rd. (not for the faint of heart.) Sat, 11/30: 7:30-8:15 check-in.
