There's a lot going on between sunset and sunrise this Saturday night. At 2am on Sunday morning daylight savings time will end. So be sure to set your clocks back before bed and enjoy your extra hour of sleep. Unless you want to catch the partial eclipse of the sun that will be visible at sunrise. Sun, 11/3: 6:38am (the sky.) After the Trick or Treating on Thursday there's still a weekend of Halloween Celebrations in Sleepy Hollow country including the boo-spectacular Horseman's Hollow at Philipsburg Manor, Jay Ghoul's House of Curiosities at Lyndhurst mansion, Irving's "Legend" performed by master story teller Jonathan Kruk at the Old Dutch Church, and The Great Jack O'Lantern Blaze at Van Cortland Manor (runs through 11/11.) Garden Conservancy Open Days
The Garden Conservancy's Open Days program presents the garden of Judy and Michael Steinhardt where landscape designer Jerome Rocherolle has incorporate 2000 species of trees, shrubs and perennials into a natural-looking setting on their 55 acre Mt. Kisco estate. With a Japanese maple garden, a hillside of unusual conifers, an alpine garden, fruit orchards, ornamental grasses, and an installation of tall slender stones that look like a forest on Mars. Industrial Sublime at the Hudson River Museum
Hudson River Museum This new exhibit offers 60 works that explore a new mode of landscape painting in the early 20th century (Industrial Sublime: Modernism and the Transformation of New York's Rivers: 1900-1940) that reflected America's growing industrial power. Northern Westchester Food Festival to fight hunger
Sample food from some of the area's most popular restaurants and help fight hunger at the Northern Westchester Food Festival. The event benefits Mazon, a non-profit agency that feeds the hungry. Armonk's second annual Halloween Parade sponsored by the Byram Hills Pre-School Association will travel down Main Street from 3-4pm on Thursday, 10/31.
