Robert Hunter at the Capitol Three WTD Fave Raves hit the Capitol Theatre in Port Chester. Caramoor Fall Festival: Jazz in the Courtyard
Chuchito Valdes at Caramoor The Caramoor Fall Festival kicks off with Sonidos Latinos, a hot Havana night featuring the Chuchito Valdes Trio. (We saw him at Caramoor: AMAZING!) And he's the opening act. Top bill goes to Columbian harpist, Edmar Castaneda, who will play a rare concert with Cuban pianist and Grammy Award winner Gonzalo Rubalcana. Small Town Theatre presents The Last Flapper
The Last Flapper William Luce's one-woman play is based on the letters and stories of Zelda Fitzgerald. In the play Zelda speaks about her life as a rebellious southern belle and her  marriage with F. Scott Fitzgerald. Directed by Robert D'Amato with Tina D'Amato as Zelda. Fri-Sat, 10/4-5: 8pm. Hudson Valley Arts Festival Hudson Valley Arts Festival Produced by ArtRider, the producers of Crafts at Lyndhurst, the Hudson Valley Arts Festival showcases 215 vendors displaying a variety of media: clay, glass, painting, drawing, printmaking, mixed media, furniture, metal jewelry, wearable art, and specialty foods. Wine Geeks' Carol Todd off-Broadway
Carol Todd of Wine Geeks off-Broadway Wine Geeks's Carol Todd performs with Jill Eikenberry in the off-Broadway debut of Jack Canfora's, Jericho. The New York Times called Jericho "a smart hard-hitting drama filled with biting wit" when it premiered at the New Jersey Repertory Theatre in 2011. The play, about 9/11, Thanksgiving, and being Jewish, explores some of the larger questions of American life with surprising humor. (Carol, who has one of the play's best lines got a great review.) Darlene Love, Rufus Wainwright in Tarrytown
Darlene Love Rufus Wainwright ("Cigarettes & Chocolate Milk") returns to his pop career with a new studio album Out of the Game produced by Mark Ronson. He plays the Tarrytown Music Hall on Fri, 10/4: 8pm. Following her appearance in the documentary film Twenty Feet From Stardom, 60's girl group phenom Darlene Love brings her powerful voice to Tarrytown on Sat, 10/5: 8pm. Repurposed/Upcycled Artest Kim Dittrich The Bedford Chowder & Marching Club's annual bash offers dinner, music, games, a raffle and auction. Plus, a showcase of upcycled art from local artist Kim Dittrich using items salvaged from the club's Spring Cleanup Weekend fundraiser. Chappaqua Book Festival Over 70 popular children's books authors will participate with book signings, readings and displays. With food, entertainment, activities and books! The Great Chappaqua Bake Sale will run concurrently offering desserts and their own activities. Including almost $20,000 of raffle prizes donated by families, restaurants, bakeries and merchants in the Chappaqua area. And a book reading from Pinkalicious author Victoria Kann. He takes on ghosts, witches and grown-ups to rescue the town from an ancient curse.
