Sarah Silverman at the Ridgefield  An Emmy nominee for her role, as herself, in the Comedy Central series The Sarah Silverman Project and author of the NYT's Bestseller The Bedwetter: Stories of Courage, Redemption and Pee, (you can't make this stuff up) Silverman brings her stand-up routines to the Ridgefield Playhouse this weekend. One Night in the Hotel California in Tarrytown  Former Eagles lead guitarist Don Felder brings his signature licks to Tarrytown this weekend. Felder, a Rock and Roll Hall of Famer, co-wrote the Eagles hit song "Hotel California." His lyrical guitar work on songs like "Life in the Fast Lane," "One of These Nights,", and "New Kid in Town" are instantly recognizable. Sun, 9/15: 7pm. Movies for Kids (and adults) at J. Burns  Sky High, a 2005 Disney release, takes place in a high school for teen super heroes. The story centers around Will Stronghold, the son of two celebrity superheroes, The Commander (Kurt Russell) and Jetstream (Kelly Preston), who has ... alas ... no super powers himself. Destined to be nothing more than a superhero sidekick he is forced to take a curriculum in Hero Support until (you guessed it) he discovers his powers ... just in time to save the day. Bicycle Sundays on Bronx River Parkway  Bicycle Sundays returns in September on Bronx River Parkway. A six and a half mile stretch of the parkway will be closed for the exclusive use of bicyclists, joggers, scooters and strollers. Park your car at the County Center lot and bike from the County Center to Scarsdale Road in Yonkers. Round trip 13.1 miles. Sun, 15, 22, 29: 10am-2pm. Music at Ridgefield's Aldrich Contemporary Art Museum Music, the new exhibit at the Aldrich Contemporary Art Museum offers 5 separate collections that explore the linkages between art and music in photography, sculpture, new media and installation. What you will find: John Blackmore's Three Soundworks features "Weather Guitar", a flamenco guitar that interfaces with meteorological instruments to "create" music to changing weather conditions. James Morrison's Disciples offers seven 13 foot long photographs of fans of The Rolling Stones, Merle Haggard, P. Diddy, Bob Dylan and more. And Xaviera Simmons' Underscore presents a photographic slide show installation plus two large scale photos from her Untitled (Cape) series. One is pictured here. Armonk's 2nd Annual Cider and Donut FestivalThe Armonk Cider & Donut Festival, sponsored by the Armonk Chamber of Commerce, offers ten activities for kids of all ages. Including, an apple pie eating contest, apple juggling, apple bobbing, apple art activities, kid's apple picking, donut fishing, and a bouncy castle. Plus, music from The Bandolins. The festival is designed to recreate the spirit of Armonk in the days when Schultz's Cider Mill, on Old Rt. 22, attracted cider and donut lovers from around the county for donuts to die for. The Haunted Pumpkin Garden at NYBG  Halloween starts early at the New York Botanical Garden. Spooky activities begin on 9/21 at their Haunted Pumpkin Garden in the Everett Children's Adventure Garden. The installation showcases over 500 intricately carved pumpkin sculptures of scarecrows, snakes, spiders and more. The pumpkins are carved by sculptors Ray Villafane and Andy Bergholtz who are regular competitors on the Food Network's "Halloween Wars." Chappaqua Orchestra  The fall music season begins on Sun, 9/22 at the Chappaqua Library with a performance from the Chappaqua Orchestra. Principal clarinetist Eric Drucker and guests will perform the Schubert Octet in F major, D. 803. It is their first of 7 performances for the new season including 3 this fall. In October they perform the works of Stravinsky, Satie, and Honegger to a screening of a Charlie Chaplin film in an evening titled Rive Gauche - Gertrude Stein's Salon. Their November concert features Grammy winners Andy Stein (violin and vocals) and Conal Fowkes (piano.) Conal is the voice/piano of Cole Porter in Woody Allen's Midnight in Paris. Andy is a 22 year vet on Garrison Keillor's A Prairie Home Companion. More music.

Westchester Phil opens with Ryu Goto  The Westchester Philharmonic predicts fireworks when the acclaimed violinist Ryu Goto teams up with conductor Jorge Mester on the famed Brahms Violin Concerto on opening night of the 2013-14 season. The program also includes Beethoven's Egmont Overture and Bizet's masterpiece Symphony in C, written when he was just 17 years old. (A sobering thought.) Sun, 9/22: 3pm. Jamie's Race for the Library: NCPL
One of four Armonk Outdoor Art Show events, Jamie's Race for the Library takes place a week before the show. This event, sponsored by Friends of the North Castle Library, includes the Petite Picassos 100 yd dash, (ages 2-8 at 10am) the Monet Mile, (10:15am) and Jamie's 5K Run/Walk (11am). Armonk Outdoor Art Show  The Armonk Outdoor Art Show features over 185 juried artists presenting a wide spectrum of media from oils, drawing, water color, acrylics, photography and print making to paper cutting, sculpture, clay, wood and jewelry. We like this mixed media work from Chris Rom and Geoff Buddie of Binary Project. The show will also offer docent tours, personal shoppers and a children's treasure hunt. The Art Show has become a series of weekend events including a free screening of the 2000 film Pollock with Ed Harris and Marcia Gay Harden on Fri, 9/27at 7pm, and a free concert from the gypsy jazz group Fishtank Ensemble on Sat, 9/28 at 8pm - both at the North Castle Public Library. Wine Geeks' Carol Todd off-Broadway  Wine Geeks Armonk's Carol Todd will perform with Jill Eikenberry in the off-Broadway debut of Jack Canfora's, Jericho. The New York Times called Jericho "a smart hard-hitting drama filled with biting wit" when it premiered at the New Jersey Repertory Theatre in 2011. The play, about 9/11, Thanksgiving, and being Jewish, explores some of the larger questions of American life with surprising humor. (Carol, who has one of the play's best lines got a nice mention in the review, by the way.) Fri-Sun, 10/4-11/3. An Iliad at PAC  Tony Award winning actor Dennis O'Hare and co-writer and Director Lisa Peterson present Homer's Trojan War in a performance of 'one classic story, one actor, a stage full of characters." Mr. O'Hare is familiar to television audiences for his appearances on True Blood and American Horror Story. T ime Out New York gave the off-Broadway production of An Iliad four stars.
