Performing Arts Center Purchase 2013-14 Season  Tickets are now on sale for the Performing Arts Center's 2013-14. PAC's season kicks off on September 28 with a performance by jazz great Cassandra Wilson. Their program calendar features a wide array of music, theater, dance, comedy and special events for kids. Brett Denen at the Ridgefield  If you missed him at The Pleasantville Music Festival you can catch budding folk-rock star Brett Denen at The Ridgefield Playhouse on Friday. CORNucopia at Philipsburg Manor  Historic Hudson Valley introduces its first corn festival where all the activities are corn inspired. Compete in corn shucking races, make a corn husk doll, design a scare crow, walk a mini maize maze. Plus, corn grinding, cooking demonstrations, barrel making, and English country dancing. Telling American History at the Bruce Museum  This new exhibit features over 40 prints from the collection of Dr. Dorrance T. Kelly that capture the spirit of the American realism movement of the early 20th century. Like this 1930 image, Subway Steps by Martin Lewis, the show's images depict modern society during a period of great change. The exhibit focuses on images of recreation, urban development, transportation and industry, and rural America. It includes works by George Bellows, Thomas Hart Benton, Edward Hopper and Grant Wood. Movies for Kids (and adults) at J. Burns  The kids will get a kick watching Bill Murray drive Richard Dreyfuss mad in Frank Oz's 1991 comedy What About Bob. Here's a different take on the relatives ruin the family vacation movie. Murray plays an obsessive compulsive who is so attached to his new psychiatrist that he follows him on his family vacation. Cabaret in Stamford  Stamford Center for the Arts' Broadway/Cabaret/Jazz series, Perfect Pairs, opens on 9/7 with Grammy nominated pianist Judy Carmichael, one of the world's leading interpreters of stride piano and swing. She will team up with the "Crown Prince of New York Cabaret" Steve Ross. Bicycle Sundays Return  Bicycle Sundays returns in September on Bronx River Parkway. A six and a half mile stretch of the parkway will be closed for the exclusive use of bicyclists, joggers, scooters and strollers.
