Summer Cinema Tuesdays at Chappaqua Library  Here's a fun summer movie series at the Chappaqua Library that kicks off on 7/23 with Mr. Hobbs Takes a Holiday. In this 1962 film Jimmy Stewart and Maureen O'Hara play out a familiar theme: a family holiday turns into a comic nightmare when the extended family shows up. On 7/30 John Candy doesn't need the relatives to ruin his family vacation (he takes care of it himself) in the 1985 film Summer Rental. Music in Chappaqua Summer Concert Series  If you missed Neil Diamond singing "Sweet Caroline" at the All Star Game at Citi Field you can get a reprise from the Neil Diamond cover band One Hot Night at the Chappaqua Recreation Field on Wed, 7/24. Theater at Lyndhurst Castle  M&M Productions Acting Company will stage William Luce's play Barrymore in the Carriage House at Lyndhurst Castle. Caramoor's 20th Anniversary Jazz Festival  The Caramoor Jazz Festival is Westchester County's biggest jazz event of the year - and a What To Do Fave Rave. It's a three day celebration of the greatest of America's art forms. The festival starts on Fri. with Luciana Souza in a performance of The Book of Chet and Brazilian Duos in the intimate Spanish Garden at 8pm. Saturday and Sunday are all day affairs starting at 2pm. Saturday's linup includes: Adam Markowicz Trio followed by Charles Tolliver's Big Band at 3:15, Vijay Iyer at 5 and Benito Gonzalez at 8. Delfeayo Marsalis and his Uptown Jazz Orchestra headline at the Venetian Theatre at 8:30. Bob Dylan, Wilco, Beck at Jones Beach Theater  Bob Dylan's AmericanaramA Festival tour lands at the Jones Beach Theater on Sat, 7/27. Also on the bill are Wilco, Ryan Bingham, and Beck. A Midsummer Night's Dream at Westmoreland Sanctuary  The Westmoreland Sanctuary's new Shakespeare Festival presents an interactive production of A Midsummer Night's Dream from Denise Simon's Actors Workshop. This 60 minute family friendly play incorporates the preserve's natural settings as actors and audience move through the woods with the play's action. Picnic grounds open 90 minutes before "curtain." Shrek The Musical in Tarrytown  The Random Farms Youth Theatre presents Shrek The Musical at the Tarrytown Music Hall. The Random Farms Youth Theatre was created in 1995 by then 16 year old Chappaqua resident Anya Wallach. Since then Random Farms' productions have been staged throughout Westchester County. Today members (kindergarten through college) come from all over the tri-state area and the group is the resident children's theater company at the Tarrytown Music Hall. Tuesday Night Cinema at NCPL  The North Castle Public Library's summer movie series is a treat for cinephiles who like foreign films with subtitles. Next up on 8/6 is Fernando Meirelles's City of God about two friends caught up in a drug war in Portugal. The film received four Oscar nominations in 2004, a 90% Rotten Tomatoes rating, and made Time's Top 100 Movies list. On 8/13 NCPL screens City of Men, a companion piece to City of God. The series concludes on 8/20 with Nobody Else But You, a neo-noir mystery about a small town beauty who thinks she is the reincarnation of Marilyn Monroe and the Parisian crime novelist who investigates her death. Winds of New York at KMA  Check out Andrea Lilienthal's Six Ladders climbing the spruce trees in KMA's Sculpture Garden while The Winds of New York perform a program of music for wind instruments.
