Greetings,
      Mary Merrill was a three masted schooner built as a transport cargo ship in 1849 and was owned by Taylor and Company of Boston. This elegant portrait shows her flying American flags as well as the Mary Merrill pennant as she sails past the cliffs of Dover. Distant views include a sailboat  and a steam side-wheeler. Period gilt frame, oil on canvas, overall 24.5" by 34.5".  $2450.
 
 
 This robust American Federal tall post bed retains a nice old mahogany color on well turned maple posts with acanthus carving  Post height is 64.5" . The bed is sold complete with present mattresses. Approximate width is 54", length 76". The mattresses are a standard full set reduced in length to 72". This dramatic bed with be the centerpiece of the bedroom. $1195.
