 A 17th century oil on canvas, probably Italian, in an old surface and retaining an old and appealing gilt frame. Relined and restored. 28" by 34" overall. $1850.
A New England "pillar and scroll" shelf clock, mahogany with curly maple tablets, retains the label of Seth Thomas. Made in the 1820's this clock has the original labels, winder, and both glasses. H. 31.5",w. 17", d. 4.25". Running 30 hour original wood movement and recently professionally serviced. $1995. This Chinese camphor wood chest is of the early 19th century. Brass includes bail side lift handles, locks, and protective trims. Camphor is said to keep away moths as well as to prevent the silver from tarnishing when stored. H. 19", w. 40", d. 20.5". $550.
