Greetings,
As you may have guessed, our favorite color here in tole ware is vermillion red. This British Hepplewhite type oval tray with gallery dates from the late 18th century to the early 19th century. Please note the correct rolled to steel rim edge for this period.
Our suitably dressed piper at the center plays as he walks across the moor with his dog. As he leaves the tavern, he pipes his song and heads, presumably, to the church for further contemplation.
Dimensions are 21"W x 16" H. Professionally cleaned and restored. It has a hanger wire or can be be used, of course, as a tray.
