Greetings,
It is fun, after many years, to still discover pieces unlike any I have owned before. Circa 1785, this well carved example offers much excitement including a serpentine top with a double reed rim, a fully fluted apron, tapered and molded Hepplewhite legs, bowfront ends, and spade feet. This outstanding pembroke, certainly American, and likely of New England origin, is of walnut with white pine secondary wood. Perfect as a end or side table, it has a small size that is rare to find. Likely created by a recently immigrated cabinet man from London, this table incorporates the best of high style features from a sophisticated London shop. H. 28.5", w. 29.25, d. 18" (closed). No major repairs. A lovely acquisition for you at $2350. Look through your books or online. There are many with inlay but no American examples with this wonderful carving.

Above, both English, circa 1840's, in period black lacquered mache' and brass mounted frames, these silhouettes are painted with additional details. At left is George Goddard, born in 1791 and son of Captain Wm. Goddard of the Royal Navy. Please contact me for further details. the larger 6.25" x 5.25".
