Autumn is a second spring where every leaf is a flower.

     Albert Camus

   Greetings,

Pictured above, a comic fox hunt scene in oil on canvas with a climactic early morning moment captured. The fox has escaped all but one pursuer who dares climb the tree in riding boots. The outcome is left in doubt. Although you may find antique fox hunting prints, a good oil of the subject will be harder to find. This 19th century scene has been professionally restored and was framed in a correct style gilt frame. Apparently unsigned. H.22' by 27" overall.

"Summer" by Bern Von Beck (1875-1941). Impressionistic lakeside views were favored by Von Beck, and this large, 30" by 41 1/2", oil offers the beauty and tranquility of waterlilies on a summer day. In the near distance, is a boater rowing with windmills and other buildings in the distance. The subject embodies warmth, calm, and relaxation. $1375.

This middle eastern scene may remind one of the area around Istanbul with steep hillsides dropping to the sea. A ancient fortress ruin looms to the near left over a central view revealing towers, domes, and spires. Beyond is a harbor with sailing ships underway and at dock. Professionally restored and with a period frame having rope detail. 13" by 17". Please do not hesitate to call or email.

Above and below, details of the hunt.

Below, much detail in this central view.
