Rest is not idleness, and to lie sometimes on the grass under trees on a summer's day, listening to the murmur of the water, or watching the clouds float across the sky, is by no means a waste of time."

 Greetings,

Antiques and art, with their essence of beauty and elegance, can make the inviting backdrop that your guests will enjoy at your home this summer. These things evoke the sense of order and calm rationality that soothes, relaxes, and inspires.

Above, "The Stable Mates", British, 19th century, oil on canvas, and in lovely condition. A rare equestrian portrait pair that allows you ownership without the stable and trainer bills.  22 1/2" by 30 1/2". Call me quick and they may join your stable above the mantle.

Above, this early English gateleg table has powerful turnings  in a layered old surface with a beautiful polish bringing the depth and charm of the finish to light. Character is a most important aspect and this has all of that from its three hundred year life. It is still a strong height and has no major repairs. Please note the crispness of the turnings. H. 29 1/2", w. 47 1/2", l. 59 1/2". Incidentally, I try to reply very promptly to your requests and always in the order in which emails and calls are received. Call or e to reserve this charming discovery.

A deep and large 15 1/2" shell-form French faience bowl in scallop form. French, 18th century with bright floral decoration. Restored and ready to decorate your table.
