 Greetings,

      Summer approaches cautiously here in Minnesota as azaleas and lilacs bloom at last. Be sure to have your home ready for summer events with antiques that will offer your sophistication, taste, and style.  

       Above a rare American "double writing arm low back Windsor ", showing good wear on an old finish. Bamboo style turnings support the hefty single plank seat of this so-called "low back" type. chair. Writing arm types are among the rarest of the Windsor group.  Only two others like mine shown here are known to exist. W. 53", seat h. 18", d 31" overall. $1250. 




A fine Chinese Daoguang yellow glazed bowl from a local collection. No damage. Accompanied by a letter of assessment from Sotheby's.  H. 3 1/4", d. 7 1/4. $2500.


 A Continental hanging bread cupboard, 18th or early 19th century. Close examination reveals proper rough cutting underneath and low speed lathe tool marks on the turnings. This is an unusual type of this then popular form. H. 12 1/2", l. 36", d. 8 1/2". $450.

Set of four pewter chalices, 19th century English, signed by  James Dixon and Son. All are in good order for your continued use and enjoyment. H. 7 1/2", d. 3 3/4". $180 the set of 4.

 Rare American pewter flagon, late 19th century, having a double c scroll handle with beaded rims.  Stamped by the maker, "Kaufman, Phila.". Until these flagons were first discovered, a signed piece by Kaufman was unknown. $395.  

Chinese baluster form vase, 19th century with a battle scene in bold colors under a crackled glaze. Hairline under the foot with incised maker's mark, export stamp, and collector's inventory number. H. 17 1/2",d. 8 1/2". $295.
