Greetings,
We do try to keep our letter and website current, but due to many factors there is always much more here than is ever on the site. However,
if you let us know your needs and otherwise keep in touch, we hope to keep you informed on specific interests.
Above, a most interesting and elegant 18th century English mahogany Chinoiserie Chippendale type silver or tea table in a polished finish that at areas gives the feeling of dark old bronze. The intricate fence-like rim and aprons remind one of a painted garden scene on Chinese export porcelain. All this is supported by columnar legs terminating in block feet with tiny casters and joined further with column form stretchers. Minor restorations found are circumeasurate with age. Please call for full details. 30"H. 33"w. 22" d. Do not hesitate for such rarity at $2950.
Below, a most favorite form in lighting, beautiful as well as fully functional, the French bouillotte lamp. This example is from the early 1800's and is in old silver plate on cast and seamed brass with a proper steel standard. The green tole shade has a delicate incurvate detail. It has just been professionally rewired and is ready for elegant use. 26"H. 13.5"w. 10"d. Priced at about half of some of the better copies, $1650.

Below, are a closely matched pair of medium Continental, probably French, Sevres, late 18th or early 19th century covered dishes with under trays that I just bought today. Details flow at the rims with gilt tendrils outlining reserves in this striking blue. Floral bouquets appear in reserves at the sides and lids. There is some light staining in small areas and paint covering an imperfection at the center bottom of one under-plate. H. 6", d. 8" overall, plate. $345 the pair.
