Just arrived, an elegant English mahogany bookcase bureau, 18th century with Chinoiserie details in the form of a pagoda bonnet top and pagoda interior. The ogee bracket base is fully carved with shells, leafage, and scroll work. The bureau bookcase is a major form in British furniture and is offered here in a rare highly detailed form. Restored. Height 100 1/2", width 39 3/4".
