Greetings, I has been a busy week with many great pieces from local collections coming to us. What special piece are you searching for? We are glad to hunt for you in our upcoming travels. Above, we show a pair of George II (we love to call all this cabriole leg material Queen Anne) upholstered armchairs from the early 18th century. These are English walnut and have a most wonderful nut brown patina. Notably, these are ex William Randolph Hearst collection and Vanderbilt collection. I have much documentation to accompany these for your inspection. I'm glad to provide copies of documentation on request. It is very rare to find pairs. These are in a smaller size and still carry the old Scalamandre silk (documents on this too!) in worn, old condition. The worn old silk has a special charm and is a good test of confidence for the owner who understands. H.43 1/2",w. 26 1/2", d. 21", seat height 20 1/2" with down cushions. $5500 the pair.
