 Fine 17th, 18th, and 19th Century Antiques

Greetings,
This four masted ship will take you into cool summer breezes. Painted and carved wooden sails with a naturally finished hull are dramatic against the rich blue sky and water back. About 100-125 years old with a back of plaster lath board, the diorama is mounted within a molded frame with a scrolled rim retaining the charming old wavy glass. Overall 27 1/2" by 38" wide. Cruise forever, $965.

Complete that chateaux hall before your big summer event with this large 18th century Louis XVI trumeaux  in layered old gilt and dove gray paint. The molded crest is supported by acanthus leaves and stop-fluting filled with gilt reeds above a central panel of musical instruments also in gilt. The mirror is bounded by more fluting held at the corners by carved rosettes and all is flanked by panels with gilt quarter moldings. 76" by 50" wide. You can never have too much elegance, $3500.

I still recall the guest, who, after I  saw her looking in my various mirrors, turned to me and said, "I like your portraits".

The Louis XV candlestick pair, 18th century, is offered at $490.
