Greetings, 

   We are most pleased to offer  this highly inlaid Continental neoclassical games table. The top is fully decorated in the Louis XVI manner with a floral bouquet tied with ribbon. The corners of the top are outset and inlaid bounding a marquetry field with a banded rim opening to reveal a felt covered surface again bounded by inlays. Each corner is veneered for a candlestick or wine glass. Below is a central drawer for accessories flanked by slender square tapered legs, each with bell flower inlays with an olive colored ground. No major repairs, later pulls and felt. Circa 1775-1800. W. 33 1/2", d. 16 1/2", h. 29 3/4". Please call or email without hesitation to acquire this gem, $2325.  

 

 


 Above, a large 19th century oil on canvas by Wilson, The Thames, inscribed verso on a glued paper note. A summer dayis depicted with boating, swimming, and riding with distant architecture unnder a blue sky. The frame is most interesting with painted gilt scrolling on a blue-green ground. 30 1/2" x 42 1/2'. $695.
