It was a great moment to obtain this significant chest , attributed to William Hook (Salem, Mass., born 1777). The swell front design with flanking turrets features a molded and applied top. Each turret carries turned capped leafage on carved capitals over reeded columns with reeded feet. The shaped drawers are cockbeaded and carry a full original set of lion mask and ring brasses. Very complete and in very good order, we are pleased to offer the fine bureau at $2600. W. 44", d. 24", h. 41 1/2".
The Persian Heriz room size rug, approximately 9' by 12' is from 1900-1920 and is in" country estate condition" with thinness and wear overall. $895.

Below, an English 17th century ship sails in brisk seas under three pendants aloft and the British red ensign at the stern with the canton of George the First. This an early oil on canvas, 17th or 18th century. Long ago relined and many times restored. The bold gilt frame is mid 19th century. Overall , frame 34 1/2" x 39 1/2". Sight is 25" x 29".

This unusual Delftware double handled bowl with strainer is 18th century and decorated with stylized Chinoiserie decoration in blue. No major damage or repair with the usual glaze chips and crazing. Overall 10 1/2" x 8". Height 3"
