This outstanding New England large games table, circa 1790, has a satinwood apron and banding with further barberpole line inlays forming panels with astragal corners over a checkered inlayed rim. All on a mahogany case with a blocked end "swelled" front and sides with "turret " corners to the front on reeded legs. This large size suggest a dual use as a pier table. H. 29 1/2", w. 45", d. 21".
This 18th century walnut English Queen Anne wing chair is of elegant line and proportion. We have just had a top upholsterer reglue and restore this good period frame and recover it in a great Lee Jofa fabric. H. 45", w. overall 31", d. overall 29". It is now ready for your immediate use in your elegant rooms. And to the right, a so-called "courting mirror", 18th century, in pine with eglomise' panels. It still retains its original box with lovely color verso. H. 17 1/2", w. 12 1/2". |
