Greetings, Everyone will tell you that early objects and furniture are tough to find. However, it is my daily challenge to keep up the search, and to assemble a great group of early pieces for your inspection and acquisition. Here are some of my most recent finds. _______________________ .

The "Young America" is good- sized cased model that might be just the right touch for your study mantel or lbrary table. Well-detailed and in an oak case with nice old glass, it measures h. 28", d. 14, w. 34", and is of the late 19th or early 20th century. It's certain to be admired and commented on.
This handsome mahogany "banjo" barometer was made in Sheffield , England between 1840 and 1865 by A. Vannini. Very unusual is the white overlay glass at the midsection of white overlay glass cut to clear in a compass pattern. This one has a nice old color and patina. Note that my barometers are for a "look" and not set up for use (unless you choose to do so). Listed in Edwin Banfield's book. I have one other with the same bonnet top. Height 39".
I just bought these lovely early 18th century French candlesticks. I find these a necessity to complete a room with early period furniture. Heights are 8" and 9". They are done in the period from sand cast brass from which the halves of the stem are then braised together. In France, the bases were added by threading the stems and bases. $365 and $395, for the pairs respectively.
