Our beautiful oil on French board by Franz Teichel, a German painter, (1816+) is a most charming shore scene of three young girls and their mother with detailed distant views of distant sunlit boats and clouds. It is finely executed and done with great sentiment. Well framed with carved gilt details. 21"x 14" overall. The outstanding large Venetian Rococo pair of armchairs are a most robust pair from the mid 18th century with strong scrolls and flourishes built of detailed and competently done carving. These retain old surface and were recently covered in striped moire. Note that these are upholstered en chassis.. You will not easily find another pair to compare. Height 47", w. 27",d. 28". The English kettlestand , 18th century, is the finest we have owned. It is still retaining the highly detailed rim with a railing and urn turned supports in good order. Below a dishtop swinging tea cup holder acts as a unique convenience. Throughout this delicate piece, fine design, proportion, and old finish combine to excite the eye. Height 25", diameter 12'.
May we answer further questions or supply more detailed images? We look forward to you call or appointment.
