Fine 17th, 18th, and 19th Century Antiques

Greetings,
We use paintings as a window to the world and as a detailed account of history. Rarer in these views than a beautiful landscape or portrait is a human scene that captures that fleeting moment of expression and emotion by the telling facial expression or gesture of the hands and arms.
We have here for your critical viewing, two 19th century, likely English, genres that offer these moments. At the right above, a young girl is dressing while gazing during her morning thoughts at her Chippendale dressing mirror which stands on a William and Mary 17th century gateleg table  flanked to left by a fine Charles X carved walnut armchair. Overall 18 1/2" X 15 1/2". Antique gilt frame.
At the right above, a young man offers his companion a glass of red wine from a painted tole tray holding the bottle and a glass and sitting on a George III daybed next to an Empire pedestal table. This is a quick study in period furniture, dress and manners. Most remarkable perhaps, is his expression as he offers the glass to her and, in turn, her cooler expressive return. 19 1/2" x 16" overall.
Period mahogany frame.
Also shown is a 19th century primitive landscape with a cottage next to a falls. this quaint and detailed American oil on canvas is framed in a later custom grained beveled frame. 13 1/2" x 20 1/2" . $335.
The celestial globe on stand is a lovely accessory for your library. In old condition with its original wood stand and brass mounts, this globe is English, early 19th century and made by C. Smith and Sons, London.  Height18", $2700.
