Tips for Interviewing
Tuck VanDyne, Chief, Office of Women's Health at the Missouri Department of Health and Senior Services and member of the MPH External Advisory Board gave MPH students great tips on interviewing at the MPH Career Panel in April. To get her interviewing tips visit the MPH website.
 
CLARION Team Case Competition
Clarion 2013  
Congratulations to the MU CLARION Team, winners of the 2013 competition! This is the fourth time the University of Missouri has won the CLARION competition and the second time an MPH student has been part of the team.

Daniel Saults, MPH Office Support Associate.
Daniel's last day with the MPH Program was May 17th. We wish him the best in his future endeavors.

Dr. Louise Miller joins the MPH program as the
Director of Distance Education. Part of her duties include planning, implementing and evaluating the online MPH degree; guiding faculty and staff with the development of online curriculum; and teaching online coures. 
In addition to her MPH responsibilities
Dr. Miller is also teaching faculty in the School of Nursing, an MPH partner. Welcome

Congratulations to the newest members of the MPH Alumni body! This month 35 students graduated with an MPH and 27 students completed the Public Health Certificate!

Student, Faculty, and Alumni Success
  Hernandez Hellbenders
   Joseline Hernadez Arroyo (MPH' 13,center aboveenrolled in an externship at the Institute of Conservation Medicine of the Saint Louis Zoo, under the supervision of Dr. Sharon Deem. Part of her final project included the development of the first One Health Fair as part of the many events of the Earth Day Weekend at the St. Louis Zoo.
    Joseline's work with Ozark Hellbenders, a salamander species exclusive to the Ozark area was part of the One Health Fair where they focused on the important role of the salamander as a water quality indicator and their endangered status. 
  
Marian "Kiya" Wiley-Moore (MPH '13) accepted a fellowship at the National Institute of Health as part of the Presidential Management Fellows program in Washington, D.C. Congratulations and best of luck in D.C. Kiya!

    Congratulations to Dr. Michelle Teti winner of the 2013 Writing Intensive Teaching Excellence award. Dr. Teti along with five other faculty were recognized for their efforts in promoting writing across

    Dr. Louise Miller, the new Director of Distance Education, is the Winner of the first Horner Award for Innovative Writing Intensive (WI) Teaching. This award recognizes faculty who start a new WI courses or take a new direction with their WI teaching.
