Congratulations to the newest members of the MPH Alumni body! This month 35 students graduated with an MPH and 27 students completed the Public Health Certificate! Student, Faculty, and Alumni Success
Joseline Hernadez Arroyo (MPH' 13,center above) enrolled in an externship at the Institute of Conservation Medicine of the Saint Louis Zoo, under the supervision of Dr. Sharon Deem. Part of her final project included the development of the first One Health Fair as part of the many events of the Earth Day Weekend at the St. Louis Zoo.
Joseline's work with Ozark Hellbenders, a salamander species exclusive to the Ozark area was part of the One Health Fair where they focused on the important role of the salamander as a water quality indicator and their endangered status.
Marian "Kiya" Wiley-Moore (MPH '13) accepted a fellowship at the National Institute of Health as part of the Presidential Management Fellows program in Washington, D.C. Congratulations and best of luck in D.C. Kiya!
Congratulations to Dr. Michelle Teti winner of the 2013 Writing Intensive Teaching Excellence award. Dr. Teti along with five other faculty were recognized for their efforts in promoting writing across

Dr. Louise Miller, the new Director of Distance Education, is the Winner of the first Horner Award for Innovative Writing Intensive (WI) Teaching. This award recognizes faculty who start a new WI courses or take a new direction with their WI teaching.
