Lindsey van Orsouw

Age:24

Employer: Pool Professionals

Position: Regional Supervisor

Company website:

www.poolprofessionals.com

What we do:

We are a full-service pool company, which means that we staff, maintain, and repair pools around the area. We now have four offices in North Carolina (Wilmington, Greensboro, Charlotte, and Raleigh). I work for the Staff Division in Raleigh and hire around 500 lifeguards and managers every year for our facilities around the Triangle area.

How long have you been involved in YPN?

I have been involved with YPN for about a year now.

Why did you join?

Our chief operating officer, Dan DeLeo, first introduced my colleagues and me to YPN. Since then, we have found that the group is an extreme privilege to be a part of!

How has the program been beneficial so far?
Personally, I have loved being a part of YPN thus far. The events are extremely advantageous to me and my colleagues. Each topic from the seminars has been tremendously helpful and relevant to issues that we face every day in the workplace and in our personal lives.

Favorite event so far?

I loved going to the social event at the Museum of Natural Sciences. The scavenger hunt was invigorating, and it was a fantastic venue to hold an event!

Guilty pleasure (food) and/or fun fact?

I absolutely love to try new restaurants all over the Triangle. Currently, I am obsessing over Pompieri Pizza in downtown Durham! I also love animals. I have a black lab, two bunnies, and a painted turtle. My apartment is a constant fur frenzy, but I wouldn't have it any other way.
