Wolfpack Basketball Season Stats NC State fell to Temple in the second round of the NCAA Tournament in Dayton, Ohio, marking the end of NC State's 24th trip to the NCAA Tournament. Some highlights of the season include: NC State defeated Duke, North Carolina, and Wake Forest for the first time since 1989; the last Wolfpack squad to post more victories than the 2012/13 squad's total of 24 was the 1983 National Championship team; and Mark Gottfried is the first coach in NC State history----and only the third coach in ACC history----to take each of his first two squads to the NCAA Tournament.
Beating the Odds with your NCAA Bracket Bracket got you down? You're not alone. The odds of correctly choosing the winners of all 63 games is one in 9 million trillion, according to Wall Street Journal columnist Carl Bialik. You're about 60 billion times more likely to win the multi-state Powerball lottery. ESPN.com's 2012 bracket challenge drew more than 6 million entries, but no one picked all the winning teams.
