Two new videos embody our vision and values....

February 2016                                                                                                                                                         Issue 54

It has been a genuine honor for Second Chance, Inc. to have been so thoughtfully and regularly recognized in public forums through the years (see various examples here). We certainly don't lace up our boots each day in the hope of attracting attention to ourselves. Frankly, after some 12 years we are still humbly surprised when people and organizations highlight our efforts. Still, we recognize how this exposure has and can propel our core mission to provide meaningful second chances to people, materials and the environment.

Accordingly, when a couple of unique and informative media pieces are released in a short period, we want to celebrate and promptly share them with our special friends. After all, we recognize there is no Second Chance without you! So, we hope you will take just a few minutes to enjoy--and perhaps share--these two recent pieces that aptly capture a large part of our essence.

In this season of love, we couldn't be more grateful for you!

It's not every day that a U.S. Senator plugs your nonprofit work as a national model on the Senate floor in front of the President! We are grateful for Sen. Ben Cardin's support, which began in earnest when he led a roundtable at Second Chance to discuss how social enterprises could help address some of the myriad challenges faced in today's inner cities like Baltimore (read the press release here).
