Each month, the popular healthy snack company KIND supports one worthy cause with $10,000. We've been selected to participate in August! What do we want to do? We want to conduct classroom and on-the-job training in life and workplace skills, jobsite safety, and deconstruction techniques. How will we spend the $10k? We would change a life by fully training another unemployed and/or previously incarcerated person to be successful in the new "green" building industry. What impact do we hope to make? We want to demonstrate the inherent worth of people and things that might otherwise be overlooked or discarded and to help them find new purpose in new places.
