Faith Community Acts, and Delivers, on Medicaid Advocacy
On April 24, LAMPa helped deliver a letter with almost 800 signatures from faith leaders around the state urging the Governor to accept an expanded Medicaid which would benefit more than half a million uninsured people. Our press conference included leaders from the Christian, Jewish, Buddhist and Quaker communities.New studies continue to show the economic benefits of expansion, including from the Economy League and a Post-Gazette article on the benefits for children.

LAMPa Offers Testimony at House Homelessness Hearing
LAMPa was pleased to be invited to offer testimony at a PA House hearing on homelessness. Chaplain Christine Rotella, a member of the LAMPa Policy Council, delivered the testimony. LAMPa will continue to advocate and educate our legislators on preventing and ending homelessness by restoring funding to the Homeless Assistance Program, fully funding the State Housing Trust Fund and the Human Services Development Fund.
