Our press conference included leaders from the Christian, Jewish, Buddhist and Quaker communities.New studies continue to show the economic benefits of expansion, including from the Economy League and a Post-Gazette article on the benefits for children.

LAMPa Offers Testimony at House Homelessness Hearing

Homeless and Hungry couple
LAMPa was pleased to be invited to offer testimony at a PA House hearing on homelessness. Chaplain Christine Rotella, a member of the LAMPa Policy Council, delivered the testimony. LAMPa will continue to advocate and educate our legislators on preventing and ending homelessness by restoring funding to the Homeless Assistance Program, fully funding the State Housing Trust Fund and the Human Services Development Fund.  Read the testimony. See this report on the hearing from the Pittsburgh Post Gazette.
A Place at the Table - New Resource on Hunger in the USA

A Place at the Table is a movie that provides a new look at the lives of
people facing food insecurity in the U.S. Check out the website to find where it is playing, to download or to arrange for a showing in your area.  LAMPa would love to partner with you on an event to show the movie and then to engage your congregation, conference or ministry in our school breakfast expansion campaign.
