WPRA HOSTS MAYORAL CANDIDATES FORUM

Dear neighbors:

The West Pasadena Residents' Association invites you to attend a candidates forum for the election of the Mayor of the City of Pasadena:

Tuesday, January 27

6:30 p.m. - 9 p.m.

Richard H. Chambers Court of Appeals

Large Courtroom

125 South Grand Avenue

With Mayor Bill Bogaard's decision not to seek re-election, Pasadena's March 10 municipal election promises to be an historic time for the city. West Pasadena voters will have the opportunity to help elect a new Mayor for the first time in 16 years. WPRA does not endorse or support candidates, but we do encourage West Pasadena residents to be informed voters.

The forum will begin promptly at 6:30. Please arrive early to allow time for courthouse security. Parking is available in the lot directly across from the courthouse or on the street.

The following six people are running for Mayor and will be participating in the forum:

Jason Hardin, magazine publisher
Don Morgan, business owner/educator
Jacque Robinson, Vice Mayor/Councilmember
Allen Shay, business owner
Bill Thomson, College trustee, attorney
Terry Tornek, City Councilmember, businessperson

Mayoral candidates will be questioned at the candidates forum about issues important to West Pasadena, including neighborhood crime, public education, the 710 Freeway extension, and use of the Rose Bowl. The forum will also offer a limited opportunity for voters to directly question the candidates.

For more information about the candidates forum, please contact Vince Farhat at (626) 375-6619.
