SPECIAL UPDATE

SR-710 freeway

-- CALL TO ACTION --
Sign "No 710" petition today

In September, a petition urged Gov. Jerry Brown and the California Transportation Commission (CTC) not to fund or build the SR-710 tunnel or freeway. Promoted primarily through SR-710-related Facebook pages, the effort gathered over 600 signatures.

And now the West Pasadena Residents' Association and the No 710 Action Committee urgently needs your signature on another petition. This time, we're hoping to collect more than 5,000 signatures.

Sign this petition to inform elected/appointed officials that you:
  • want the F7-X tunnel option removed from the Environmental Impact Report/Statement
  • have reviewed the history, purpose and need for the SR-710 North Corridor
  • support the development and implementation of a comprehensive 21st-century mobility and transportation alternative to the current limited and antiquated approach for the SR-710 North Extension.
The petition will be delivered by email to the Governor and members of:
  • California Transportation Commission (CTC)
  • California State Transportation Agency
  • Los Angeles County Metropolitan Transportation Authority (Metro)
  • California Department of Transportation (Caltrans)
  • Southern California Association of Governments (SCAG)

With a CTC meeting scheduled for December in Southern California and six months before the draft EIR/EIS report is released, we need to mobilize in full force! Please sign the petition, leave your comments and encourage your family, friends, neighbors and any groups you belong to to do the same. Here's how:

  • Review the list of those who'll receive the petition.

  • Complete the form (see below) to sign the petition.
  • Include comments on "Why is this is important to you?" or not; it's optional.
  • Finally, click on the red box that says "Sign."
