Fellowship, Supper and Study

Each Wednesday evening we gather for fellowship, supper and age-appropriate studies. The supper line begins at 5:30. The children are gathered at 6:15 for a short encouragement in the narthex with the studies beginning at 6:30. If you plan to eat and/or need childcare, please register here.

Informational Meeting
This coming Lord's Day we will have our quarterly Information Meeting at 5:20 p.m. Members and regular attenders are encouraged to join us.

Our friends at Christ Church Presbyterian in Charleston, South Carolina has extended an invitation to join them for their first (of hopefully many) Charleston Christmas Conference on Reformed Theology. If you are interested in attending or wanting to know more about it you can do so at this link.

CHURCH FAMILY LIFE

Resource Ministry Team
Christ Church is looking for volunteers to participate in the Resource Ministry of Christ Church. We are looking to expand our teams who volunteer in the sound booth on Sundays; learn to print cd labels and duplicate cds; produce existing albums as well as be a part of developing new albums. If you have an interest in this opportunity to serve the church, please contact Josh Espinosa, josh @ christchurchofthecarolinas.org or 803-509-5340.

Inquirers' Class

If you are not a member of Christ Church and have an interest in learning more about the Church, Christ Church and Church Membership, please contact Josh Espinosa. We are leaning towards hosting another class in the coming months if there is any interest.

Family Builders Ministry

"The end of life in singleness, marriage or parenting is not a more perfect manhood or womanhood, perfect marriage, perfect parenting, or godly children. The end of singleness, marriage and parenting is the church and the worship of Christ." Pastor Wilkerson

The purpose of the Family Builders ministry is to build God glorifying marriages and families through monthly edification and teaching in accountable relationships. Through the Ephesians series, particular chapter 1, we saw our Redeemer is re-uniting all things by his authority. Therefore, we should be making every effort by his grace to participate in that re-uniting work, especially in our families. Re-uniting is not an event; it is a process, and processes take a lot of extra effort.

There has been a date change for our November gathering, now being held on November 22nd. The calendar of gatherings for this Autumn is available online. If you are on Facebook, please request to join the closed Facebook group. Our next gathering will be October 11 from 6:30-8:00.

Adult Sunday School
We will enter our fourth quarter series "Knowing the Word" on October 6 when we enter First Samuel being facilitated by six Christ Church men using the commentary by Dale Ralph Davis.

LADIES' MINISTRY

Sunday Afternoon Prayer

Please note that during the Officer Training on Sundays, the afternoon prayer time will meet at the new time of 5:00 p.m.

Tuesday Morning Study
Heaven - Beginning September 10th, make plans to join Mrs. Janie Timmons and others you consider "family" and "extended-family" at 10:00 a.m. for 10 weeks working through the topic of heaven while using Mrs. Elsie Newell's book on that topic. Child care is available and ask that you register your child(ren) by emailing Mrs. Julie Armstrong.

Ladies' Prayer

On Tuesday mornings prior to the 10:00 study, ladies are encouraged to gather in the Reformation room at 9:30 for prayer. Child care doors will open at 9:15 a.m. Do not forget about the 4:30 corporate prayer on Sundays.

MEN'S MINISTRY

Thursday Mornings' Study
Leadership - A series being taught by Pastor Wilkerson using the Gospel of Mark. We meet at a new time - 6:30 a.m. or 0630 hours. This opportunity is available to men of all ages.

Burma Mission Trip

October 22 - November

The team consists of: Mike Iliff, Kyle Boyce, Nola Burnette, Jessica Hooten, Linda Paxton and Tyler Thomason.

Prayer Concerns:

Traveling mercy & grace
Health & Safety
Training Presentation will be clear and accurate. Prepare
the presenters (Nola & Jessica), the translators (Eden & Annie) and the
Bible College students.
Wisdom as we minister to students who have experienced a Crisis and
suffer from Post Traumatic Stress Syndrome.
Orphanage Ministry
Medical Clinic Mission: Pray for Kyle and Linda and the Village pastors who will host the medical team
God will provide opportunities for Tyler to encourage the children and
be a witness for the LORD Christ.
